Pool and Spa Safety Adelaide

As a swimming pool or spa pool owner, you are legally responsible for maintaining a compliant pool barrier.

Did you know that 70% of pools fail their first inspection? Don’t leave it to chance and risk a loved one’s life.

Over time, gate latches and hinges wear out, fence panels rust, bolts become loose, and trees grow into the pool area making them climbable and easy to access the pool enclosure. Over the last five years more than 150 Australian children under the age of five drowned, with over 50% due to faulty gate latches or hinges. While all these drowning deaths are preventable, it is the 50% that occur in home swimming pools where your immediate action can make a difference. Home pool fencing and effective supervision can reduce these tragic drowning deaths to zero. We can replace hinges/latches/etc. on the spot, so you don’t have to worry about the hassle.

Don’t risk it…you may only get one chance. In a life-threatening or urgent situation phone the emergency services on 000.

Pool Safety Tips

  • When using the pool is an adult always in an arm’s reach of any children under 5.
  • Do all pool users know where and how to switch of the pool/spa pump in an emergency?
  • Does at least one adult have up to date resuscitation and first aid skills.
  • Is there a current resuscitation sign displayed prominently in the pool area? Are all chemicals stored securely and out of reach of children?
  • Make sure there are no climbable objects near the pool fence i.e. chairs, BBQ, Ladders, trees, pot plants
